ZIMBABWE, AFRICA
Rhino Volunteer and Wildlife Conservation
Project mission
The project is passionate about protecting wildlife and believes wholeheartedly in the power of collaboration between rural communities and conservation programs. Together, we can preserve our natural heritage while fostering thriving partnerships that benefit both people and the environment. The vision of the project is to create seamless synergy between tourism, conservation efforts, and community development through sustainable environmental management and impactful community initiatives.
The project is committed to raising global awareness about the wildlife and poaching crisis threatening Zimbabwe, Africa, and beyond, while addressing the critical challenges faced by local communities and conservation organizations. Among the greatest threats to the wildlife we protect are poaching and the pressures of human overpopulation. Poaching is fueled by international demand for ivory and rhino horn, compounded by poverty and a lack of education. To safeguard rhinos and all wildlife, we believe in empowering local communities with knowledge, resources, and opportunities.
The project’s ultimate goal is to demonstrate that our endangered species can thrive when conservation is approached with unity, innovation, and a shared commitment to making a lasting impact.
Volunteer work
Examples of volunteer activities:
- Work close with rhinos, elephants, and a variety of other wildlife species.
- Conduct wildlife monitoring, capture data, and record behavioral observations.
- Support anti-poaching initiatives to safeguard the animals' well-being.
- Engage with local schoolchildren to educate them about conservation, wildlife, and environmental stewardship.
- Deepen your understanding of wildlife conservation, the challenges facing endangered species, and the complexities of managing a wildlife conservancy.
